DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

The RAHS SE Development consisted of the redevelopment of the existing horse stable area into a multi- purpose site. The project consisted of earthworks remediation of uncontrolled fill and excavation of repository for contaminated cinders material. There was around 400 mm of uncontrolled fill below subgrade levels across the 18,000 m2 site. The uncontrolled fill was excavated out and then recompacted under level 2 supervision. A 2500 m3 repository was excavated and the cinders material was move into this large repository and compacted. There was also 7500 m3 cut to disposal offsite as part of the earthworks. Once remediation was completed services for the caravan park were installed with sewer, stormwater, water, fire, electrical, gas and communications all being trenched and laid. There was a large component of concrete kerbing and paving that was constructed across the site. Over 3,000 m of kerbing was laid along with 6,000 m2 of pavers. 23 pedestal pits for the caravan park where also put in place all of which have electrical, water and sewer services. Irrigation and landscaping works were also completed.
