T & J Constructions Pty Ltd is a South Australian company that has been operating under the current ownership since 2008 when John McMichael purchased the company. In 2011 Andrew Cameron came on board as a partner after having worked for T & J Constructions since 2008.
The company has grown significantly since 2008 from a staff of 7 to now employing 78 local South Australians supported by a new state of the art office and yard complex completed in 2020. Since 2008 T & J Constructions plant inventory has grown from 10 machines and trucks to over 100 pieces of modern plant and vehicles servicing a wide range of projects.
Since 2008, T & J Constructions has been involved in some of South Australia’s iconic projects such as Market to Riverbank, Bowden Redevelopment, Tonsley Village, St Kilda Adventure Playground and Royal Adelaide Showgrounds SE Development. These projects demonstrate the diversity of skill and expertise that has developed over the last decade and beyond.

John McMichael has served on the Board of the Civil Contractors Federation (CCF) SA since 2017 and has been a member of the UDIA Infrastructure Committee for numerous years advocating for South Australian participation in major infrastructure projects.
T & J Constructions Pty Ltd is a mid-tier civil contractor that is an industry leader in delivering large urban regeneration projects, new sub-divisional developments as well as installing new services or replacing existing services in urban areas. T & J Constructions is SA Water, DPTI and Telstra prequalified, and works closely with other utility companies such as SA Power Networks and APA Gas.
T & J Constructions employs extensive contract and quality systems to ensure our jobs are carried out efficiently and professionally, with emphasis on safety and sustainability. Quality Project Management is a key deliverable for the organisation. Procurement of work is done via a tendering system and T & J Constructions is a preferred contractor for many developers and engineers in South Australia. T & J Constructions is third party certified for Safety AS4801 and OHSAS 18001, Quality ISO9001 and Environment ISO14001.

John has over 30 years’ experience in the Civil and Construction Industry and is well respected within the industry. He has worked on iconic construction projects in South Australia and across Australia. John has successfully completed some 300 projects with a combined value in excess of $280 Million. John bought T&J Constructions in 2008 and has since built it into the high-functioning organisation T & J Constructions is today, worth more than thirty times its original value. John leads the direction of T & J Constructions by closely monitoring all processes, and is continually searching for ways to improve what is already a highly successful operation.
Andy has had a diverse career in the civil construction industry working on a range of high profile jobs across Australia. Andy has been with T & J Constructions since 2008, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge.
Andy is recognised across South Australia for his ability to manage multiple projects and being able to assess any site to ensure it is generating the maximum productivity from the plant and labour. Andy has a high level of commitment to all his projects and his position at T & J Constructions has resulted in all projects being managed with a higher degree of supervision including procedural and protocol implementation.
Regan Armstrong commenced with T&J Constructions’ in 2015, and quickly earnt the position of Operations Manager to support Andy Cameron with management of resources, plant and site operations. Regan has extensive experience on the management of site operations across large well-known infrastructure projects in South Australia. Regan is responsible for ensuring all projects are completed to programme and for the efficient allocation of plant and labour that ensures risks are managed and that the productivity targets are achieved.
Donna commenced with T & J Constructions in 2018 having been in the civil and rail industry since 2009 across areas such as HR, compliance, finance and procurement. Donna is passionate about improving business processes, building relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and in providing solutions to enable the people function to better support the strategic business objectives to foster further growth. Donna is a strong advocate for learning and development and in supporting Apprentices, Trainees and work programs that offer pathways to the civil industry. Donna has extensive experience in procurement and is integral in overseeing all company submissions from EOI’s, Tenders, Panel Member submissions and Prequalification and Accreditation documentation.
Erin joined T & J Constructions in 2012, after working for Tier 2 commercial builders and has gradually learnt all areas of the business including business management, procurement, and compliance. Erin has worked closely with the senior management team to assist in the growth of the business and is passionate about further building the success of T&J Constructions around its core values. Erin is especially passionate towards keeping T&J Constructions a quality and safe workplace and has an integral role in the management of compliance across the business including WHS, Quality and Environmental systems through to payroll and financial compliance.
