DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

T&J Constructions constructed a 1.5km overtaking lane on the Stuart highway west of Truro.

The scope of works included extending existing stormwater infrastructure, bulk earthwork, placing subbase and base course material and placing a combination of deep lift Hotmix and spay sealing.

KEY CONSTRUCTION PROCESS

Truro slip lane and junction works were located 6km east on the Sturt Hwy. Significant planning was required to get approvals as part of the construction area encroached into a native revegetation area. There was also large amounts of rock found in the batter and road boxout which required T & J Constructions to mobilise an additional excavator with a rock breaker. Program was still maintained despite these issues.

Typical Works include;

  • Routine pavements and surfacings
  • Moderately complex traffic management
  • Non-complex service relocation
  • Hotmix and Granular Pavement Construction
